My First Day at School

I shall never forget my first day at school. That was ten years ago. I was only six. My uncle took me to the school. I was to enter the first standard.
We went to a teacher. He gave me a smile. He spoke kindly to me. I felt happy. The teacher took us to the headmaster. The headmaster admitted me. My uncle went home. The teacher took me to his class.

The other boys stood up. They sang the prayer. They sat down. The teacher introduced me to the class. Then he asked me to take seat in front row. I did so. The teacher taught a simple lesson. I liked it very much. Time passed quickly.

Everything was new. The teacher was kind. The boys were friendly. At last school was over. I went home with two other boys. They lived near my house. My mother gave me sweets to eat. My first day at school was full of joy.
